*yawn*

Laura yawned as she looked at the list of papers on her table. Today was the day where she had to study about Nali Family's business. As a big family, Nali Family was involved in many sectors and everything was extremely important.

But for a young child who was barely 10 years old, it was extremely boring.

"Mom, do I really need to memorize all of these?" Laura asked as she pointed to the book before her.

Laura's Mother smiled bitterly. She patted her daughter's head. "Come on, we'll be meeting with the main family. It'll be impolite if you can't remember their names when you greet each other."

"Ugh…"

Laura knew that, but she didn't feel like doing it. She leaned back on the chair as her small legs swung around. "Right, where's Sis?"

"She should be studying in her room."

"Are you sure, Mom?"

Well…" Laura's Mother scratched her cheek and sighed. "She's probably outside sitting in the tree again, or she might have already run over to the nearby park."

Laura's lips curled up in amusement. She jumped off the chair and ran to the window. Opening it, she could see a large tree that their grandfather planted near the house. The branches often reached the windows, giving a chance for them to get out if they were agile enough.

*rustle*

Raising her head up, Laura could see Kanae sitting on a thick branch with her eyes closed. She was dressing up like a boy, but her long hair was not tied as it swayed along with the breezy wind.

"Sis!"

Kanae opened her eyes and looked down. She smiled upon seeing her little sister. "Laura, have you finished studying?"

"That should be my question to you, Sis."

"Eh." Kanae scratched her cheek. "I'm too lazy to study, so I just leave the study room and sit here."

Laura giggled while their mother sighed inside the room. They should have known that Kanae wouldn't be able to stay put in one place and would search for a way to sneak out again and again. Even now, Kanae didn't want to stay still inside her room and conveniently sneaked out.

"You need to memorize their names, Kanae."

"I know, Mom. Don't worry, I won't disappoint you."

"You little brat."

Kanae grinned cheekily and jumped down to the lower branch. She shifted her legs' position quickly and arrived at the branch that was near the window where Laura stood by. Her movements were done flawlessly as nimble as a cat.

"Come on, Laura. Let's go up here."

"There?" Laura looked hesitantly. "I don't have the same agility as you, Sis. I will fall down if I go there."

"Don't worry, I'll protect you."

Looking at her sister's outstretched hand, Laura was hesitant for a moment. She reached out her hand to Kanae's and climbed to the edge of the window. The branch below her swayed slightly, making her worried. However, Kanae's arm held her tightly.

Tep!

After a few seconds, Laura had already arrived on the thicker branch. Her eyes looked around worriedly, but Kanae patted her shoulder.

"Look over there."

Turning her head, Laura finally understood why Kanae was sitting here for so long. The sun was setting and the sky slowly turned orange. From this position, she could see the rows of buildings in front of her, looking as beautiful as ever.

"Sis, you know that we can just admire the view from the window, right?"

"The breeze is better here."

Kanae spread her other arm while the other one was still holding onto Laura to make sure that she would not fall. It was at this time the wind blew to their direction. It was cool and refreshing.

Laura giggled. "You really love to play around, Sis."

"Heh, it's fun over here. Want to go up?"

"Are you sure?"

Turning her body around, Kanae crouched down slightly. "Get on my back and hold on tightly."

"Ok."

Laura climbed to Kanae's back and held her sister's shoulder tightly. They both had similar body frames as their age difference was only one year. However, Kanae's muscles were firmer as the result of her playing around, climbing and running from a long time ago.

Swish!

Even with Laura on her back, Kanae's speed didn't decrease in the slightest. She reached the top and looked in the direction of the setting sun once more. "It's beautiful, isn't it?"

Laura nodded. She slowly went down from her sister's back and stood on the thick branch. Her hand was still holding onto her sister's hand, afraid that if she let it go, she might fall.

"The wind here is the best!"

"Sis, you're just like a boy."

Kanae stuck out her tongue. "At least, it's much better than hole up inside the room and study those insane etiquettes that are not necessary."

Laura laughed. Rather than studying, Kanae loved to sneak around and climb up the tree very much. Laura herself didn't dare because she didn't have the same agility as her sister.

"Sis, if you're a boy, I would have long fallen in love with you."

"Heh, your future boyfriend might even be jealous of me." Kanae smirked. She pointed to their house. "It'll be dark soon, you might not be able to see the branch clearly if you don't return back now."

"Ah, right."

Carefully, Laura stepped on the branch and walked over to the nearest window. It was not the same floor, but she didn't care. Her eyes widened when she saw her father stood there as she entered the room.

"Daddy!"

Their Father could only sigh when he saw his two daughters coming in through the window. "Can't you behave with proper manners?"

"But the view and the wind up there are amazing, Daddy!" Laura gave the same reason as Kanae.

On the other hand, Kanae didn't say anything and merely grinned.

"Come on, it's time for dinner. After this, you two still need to memorize all the names for tomorrow's party."

"Yes, Daddy!"

"Yes, Father."

The two girls ran to the hallway hurriedly while their father just shook his head. Those two were really naughty.
