Chapter 170 - Chen Yi Is In Real Danger...

Zhao Hua had brought forward a pivotal point. How could Qin Chanpu not have considered it before?

On the day when Zhao Hua had cornered Su Xiuying, Chen Yi had stepped forward to her help. How could Su Xiuying, that weakling could have the sudden spurt of courage to go against him? There was definitely someone, an expert guiding Su Xiuying behind the scenes.

Someone who had a deep grudge against him.

Of course, it could be none other than her, none other than Chen Yi.

Now Chen Yi unexplained visits to Shen Yue made much more sense.

Xuan Wen had kept an eye on Chen Yi movements, informing Qin Chanpu from time to time how Chen Yi would visit Manager Shen. Qin Chanpu couldn't make sense of it back then. What did Cen Yi need from Shen Yue? Now, he understood it. He understood everything.

"Fucking bitches. They are all in cahoots!" He cursed before turning open the door and making his way downstairs to the dark, messy basement.

"Where is she?" He spat at one of the men.

"The girl's still out."

"Out? Then slap her awake!" Qin Chanpu had just one day before he would be deemed guilty and ruined.  He had tried to get his hands on Su Xiuyng but Su Xiuying had been cautious, staying indoors and Whatmore? There were people employed for Su Xiuying protection.

He had no idea how that dirt poor bitch could afford them but those people were appropriately equipped. Qin Chanpu could not touch her.

So he thought and thought until he came upon this idea. Why not capture the mastermind? That girl who had been playing him and Chen Ying like a clown since the beginning, Chen Yi, there was no doubt she was the mastermind behind everything.

And to capture the mastermind, he needed a foolproof plan. He could not leave any opening for doubt. Or provided how quick Chen Yi was, she would pick on it and guard herself.

"Still not awake?" With a screech, Qin Chanpu dragged out a chair and sat while staring at the girl lying unconscious in the corner.

At his directions, a man poured a bucket of cold water upon her.

Chen Yi coughed as she stirred from unconsciousness. "What..." Her head was dizzy, her vision blurry and her throat painfully dry. 

"Awake finally?" Qin Chanpu lips quirked up as he stared at her. The water had made her dress stuck to her body, enunciating the very tempting curves. For some reason, he felt a rush of excitement. Seeing this pretty girl walking around like she owned the world now gasping for breath at his feet, powerless and unable to do anything, Qin Chanpu couldn't restrain the excitement and lurched forward to grab her but his hand was slapped away.

Eyes ablaze with scorching anger, Chen Yi glared at him. "Do not touch me."

"Haha... What if I do? Do you not realize your situation now? Can you still use your petty tricks from that day? Haha..."

Chen Yi struggled to focus but it was as if something was shaking the ground. 

Looking at her being in such a pitiful state, Qin Chanpu was having a plentiful of ideas. But before he could leap forward, Xuan Wen reminded him. "Manager Qin, there's only one day. We don't have time for this."

At this Qin Chanpu restrained himself. "Right," He could do whatever his heart pleased with this bitch after Su Xiuying matter was resolved. "You should know why I had to get you here?"

By this time, Chen Yi had regained back a bit of control over her thoughts. Even though her memory was somewhat fuzzy, she recalled having made a trip to Fu entertainment. Getting into Manager Pei office. Being offered a drink. After she had left, a wave of dizziness took over her. She thought it was because of her sickness but who knew.

So it was that drink.

"Pei... Zhang..." Coldness seeped through her eyes. 

"Haha... So you have figured it out by now? That's right. I have something on that Pei Zhang. Of course, knowing you, I carefully chose him out of everyone. You won't just accept a drink from someone who was close to me. Pei Zhang, apparently he is someone on bad terms with me but who knows? What cooks behind the closed doors can be something very different." Qin Chanpu looked quite pleased with himself.

"What do you want?" Chen Yi snapped, not an ounce of fear in her pretty eyes.

Qin Chanpu stopped laughing. Looking at her giving him such a cold stare, he found it somewhat unsatisfactory. "Easy. Contact Xu Xiuying and ask her to withdraw."

It was difficult but Chen Yi managed to put weight on her arms. Propping her up, she managed into a sitting position. Since she had just recovered from a cold, her wet clothes made her body tremble. However, none of the things managed to dim the intensity in her eyes. "Why doesn't Manager Qin thinks she would listen to me?"

"Don't think you can trick me." Qin Chanpu veins popped up. "I had my men follow her. She had a meeting with you. How would you explain this?"

"Even then," Chen Yi interjected. "Why do you think she would listen to me?"

"I don't care one fuck! You have to call her and ask her to withdraw. If that doesn't happen, you'll be the one who will have to bear the consequences!" He erupted before laughing. "Do you really have no idea what I am capable of doing to you right now?" As he said, he grabbed something out of his pocket.

Chen Yi eyes darkened. 

"Will you ask her or will you not?" Qin Chanpu waved the gun before her in a self-assured manner. He was confident all of her 'tough act' would crumble once in the face of actual danger. However, he had to be disappointed. 

When Chen Yi didn't reply, he finally hit a nerve, aimed the gun at her and fired.
